As Mayor of Glendale, it is my great pleasure to announce the third annual One Book/One Glendale citywide reading event. One Book/One Glendale encourages us to read the same book at the same time to promote the value of reading and strengthen the unity of our city by engaging in this process together as neighbors and as citizens of Glendale. I invite adults to read the wonderful new book, Shanghai Girls by Lisa See. I also invite children to read Poison Ivy by Glendale author Amy Koss. I encourage you to talk about the books at community book groups, meet the authors and attend free public programs at the Library. Please join me in embracing this community program.
