Library Architectural Tour

Discovering the History and Architecture of Glendale’s Public Libraries

The Glendale Historical Society sponsored the Library's first-ever Architectural Tour that included visits to the Central Library, Grandview Branch and Brand Library & Art Center.

Architect John LoCasio and TGHS President Arlene Vidor provided background about the Library buildings.

Make A Splash - READ! Annual Bookmark Contest
January 25 to February 7
ALL AGES
Design a bookmark for this year's theme, "Make a Splash ­ Read." Entries will be judged on originality and artistic expression. The winning bookmarks will be unveiled in March and distributed throughout the Library system. For more information call (818) 548-2035.

PARKING
Library Visitors receive 3 hours FREE parking across Harvard at the Marketplace parking structure with validation at the Loan Desk.

Parking spaces in front (east side) of the building are available for 30 minutes. Spaces on the south side are available for 1 hour.

Metered parking is available on the west side of the building in Lot #10 and on Harvard Street.

Handicapped parking is available at the front of the building.


BUS SERVICE
The Glendale Central Library is accessible by MTA bus lines 92 (Brand/Harvard), 180/181 (Brand/Broadway), 780 (Brand/Broadway), and 183 (Brand/Colorado).

The Central Library is also accessible by the Glendale Beeline, Routes 1 & 2 (Brand/Harvard), 3 & 4 (Louise/Harvard), and 6 (Louise/Colorado).
